Sarah Piercy brings a profound love for storytelling and a lifelong passion for supporting young hearts to her writing. She began her career as a music therapist, working closely with children and adults in hospitals and nursing homes to find comfort and expression through art. From there, she dedicated 18 years to early childhood education, serving as a teacher, supervisor, and coach. During this time, she also shared her expertise as an adjunct professor at Weber State University, teaching courses to help shape the next generation of educators. Today, while she continues her professional work as a human resources specialist, her heart remains deeply tied to helping families navigate complex emotions.
Her debut children’s book, Remember When, was born out of a very personal journey. Following the heartbreaking loss of her beloved family dog, Buddy Bear, Sarah turned to writing as a way to process her grief. Through this experience, she rediscovered the incredible healing power of storytelling. By sharing her family’s beautiful memories of Sir Buddy Bear the XII—from his dock-diving victories to his goofy Halloween costumes—Sarah hopes to offer a safe, comforting space for children and parents alike to process their own emotions and keep the love for their cherished pets alive forever.

The heart behind "Heart and Wonder Stories." Sarah uses her extensive background in early childhood education and music therapy to craft gentle stories that heal, comfort, and inspire young minds.
